"Doll Dunces"

Films: Cathy's Curse (1977)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Once again, family matters utterly mess up any hopes of starting anew and making some good memories for the kids. Mainly because it's the kid who’s the target.

History: Long ago, Laura was abandoned by her mother, who took her son George away and left her husband and daughter in the dust. But even after a car accident took Laura's life, her rage never left. Instead, she possessed a doll in a house about to be bought by George, who now had a family of his own. His daughter, Cathy, was Laura's target, and through the doll, the spirit turned her into a supernatural force.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Cathy's mom eventually takes action, and stabs the doll, freeing Cathy from Laura's grasp, but smashing every bit of furniture in the process.

Powers/Abilities: Possession, triggering frightening illusions.

Weakness: Destroying the object of posession.

Scariness Factor: 4-Being haunted by an evil spirit is one thing, but one that can make your mind play games with you is something else. Frankly, I'd like to not be surrounded by tarantulas that aren't actually there, anytime soon.

Trivia: -Cathy was played by Randi Allen, in her only credited role in anything. Probably a wise decision after all of this.

-This film is known in Canada as its French title, "Caunchmares".

Remember that it's her aunt pulling the strings. Not sure what to make of this spiel now.

Or open its eyes, for that matter.

Okay, who's the doll here?

The last anyone sees of this child.
Face it. You're not Carrie White.

Time to learn how to speak French!

Well, the Aunt's certainly being left out of the will.
